The academy's play-based, child-centered curriculum caters to the developmental needs of every child, promoting hands-on activities that build social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. Kinderhaven students recently organized and held a Plant Sale, which raised $465 to support local wetlands and wildlife.
Compassion and kindness are at the heart of Kinderhaven's approach, woven into daily lessons and special projects. These Compassion Projects offer children meaningful ways to give back to their community, fostering empathy and understanding. From baking cookies for police officers and firefighters, raising money to buy shoes for children in need, creating art for nursing homes, and organizing food drives, Kinderhaven students engage in a variety of charitable endeavors that leave a lasting impact.
After an inspiring recent field trip to Open Lands in Lake Forest, the students organized and held a Plant Sale, which raised $465 to support local wetlands and wildlife—a super-proud moment for the students. These projects not only teach valuable lessons about giving but also empower the children to see the difference they can make.
