Sixteen park district dance companies from across the northern suburbs joined together for a special dance performance in Buffalo Grove on Aug. 21, with all proceeds donated to the Highland Park Community Foundation.
The Lake Forest dancers gather backstage. Five of Lake Forest Dance Academy's advanced dancers were among the 150 that participated. Aly Stanczak, recreation manager for the Buffalo Grove Park District and producer of the event, reported that more than $5,400 was raised.
