By David A. F. Sweet Two Lake Forest High School seniors, Taylor Ross and Lucy Mulloy, have been selected to participate in the Illinois High School Theatre Festival All-State Production of She Kills Monsters.
Taylor Ross (left) and Lucy Mulloy have been chosen among more than 200 applicants to take part in She Kills Monsters. Ross is playing Farrah – the small but violent fairy -- in the show, while Mulloy is involved with lighting. So far, they’ve been part of three weekend rehearsals. “It's so cool to work with people throughout the entire state and to see everyone's talents,” Ross said. “It's a bit intimidating, for sure, but I look forward to rehearsals every time.” Aside from Farrah, Ross is also the understudy for Tilly, one of the main characters. “It's been hard trying to memorize both characters as well as all the blocking, but it's a welcome challenge,” she said. “I've always wanted to take my acting to the next level, and She Kills Monsters has been an incredible experience.”
